The Grand Closing
Converse was being outpaced on sustainability, so they developed Renew Labs. A space to experiment with sustainable production methods and drive the business forward. They asked us to build the brand strategy, identity, and launch campaign to bring it to market.
Youth across the world are retreating into their heads amid crisis and instability. We positioned Renew Labs as a space to come in, play, land back in their bodies, experience something together, and contribute to the environment.
For Earth Day 2021, we launched the world's first virtual store on the Pacific Garbage Patch, with one goal: close it down as fast as possible. Converse All Stars eco-creators donated prototype sneakers made from sustainable inks and Converse sold their most sustainable shoe to date, the Crater. All proceeds went to Take 3, funding plastic removal from oceans and beaches.
