First we came for gift cards, now we’re canceling eggs

Eggflation dominated the news. And even though eggs cost more than ever, they’re still just… plain ol’ eggs. So if you’re going to drop $7+ either way, why not get something more for that cash? We saw the perfect opportunity to convince adults to spend their $$$ on what kids really want this spring. Not boring eggs to paint or dye, but MGA toys to play with instead.

In a follow-up to last year’s ‘Diss-mas’ holiday campaign, we created a shoppable music video starring seven-year-old Alabama rap phenom Nova Starr. Except this time, gift cards aren’t the enemy. Eggs are. Featuring punchy lyrics told from the POV of girls, the track delivers a clear message — they don’t wanna decorate eggs this year, because MGA toys make the girlies get hype!
